Dr. Shelby Rosasco is an Assistant Professor and Extension Beef Specialist in the Department of Animal Science at the University of Wyoming. Dr. Rosasco grew up on a cow-calf operation in the foothills of Central California and received her Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Education with an emphasis in Animal Science from California State University, Fresno (Fresno State). She then received a Master’s and Ph.D. from New Mexico State University in Animal Science with an emphasis in Reproductive Physiology. Her research and extension programs focus on increasing beef cattle productivity, improving reproductive performance and longevity, and enhancing producer profitability. Her current research is focused on understanding the impact of nutrition on fertility, ovarian development, and reproductive longevity in beef heifers, as well as identifying management strategies to improve reproductive efficiency in beef cattle.
