Dr. Thiago Martins is an Assistant Professor of Beef Reproduction (Extension and Research) at the University of Missouri. His work focuses on improving pregnancy outcomes in beef cattle through estrous synchronization and artificial insemination by advancing the understanding of female reproductive biology. He has authored 37 peer-reviewed publications and leads statewide extension efforts, including oversight of the Show-Me-Select Replacement Heifer Program, which annually impacts more than 4,500 heifers and achieves over 95% adoption of estrous synchronization and AI. With extensive experience in both research and producer engagement, Dr. Martins is committed to promoting reproductive biotechnologies that enhance efficiency and profitability in beef production.
